Hi, my name is Tim Reed. I build websites. This is my space to show how great I am and my work, my musings and a little about myself. So you made it to my ‘about’ page

I studied Industrial Design and Technology at Loughborough University, where I learnt about user-centred design, sketching, presentation and a whole host of other disciplines. This has proved invaluable in my design work as I am able to look at projects from a user’s vantage point and always ask, “Does it work for me?”

I much preferred the fast paced world of web-design though, over the sometimes slow world of product design. But I’m grateful for the skills I learnt as they help me every day to look beyond the code and design for the wider audience. I took a year out to learn the basics of web design and start a company – The Design Elevator – and upon graduating I got myself a great job building websites for Ardent Creative.

So that brings us up until now, and this blog. I have been enamoured by the capabilities of WordPress for quite some time and thought it was about time I figure out how it all comes together. I have never blogged before, so don’t shoot me, but it might be a little thin on the ground to start with.
